Olde Town Arvada - Colorado
Old Town Arvada is located northwest of Denver by about twenty minutes. There are several shops and restaurants to visit and is the perfect place for lunch and some shopping. We didn’t get to go into as many shops as I wanted as several are closed on Sundays. Make sure you check the hours before you go!
On this particular day we ate lunch at the School House Kitchen and Libations. It was a schoolhouse built in eighteen eighty two that has been turned into a restaurant and bar. Their food is delicious and the ambiance is very clever. The bar is a library of liquors and there are old desks hanging from the ceiling. The main dining room has lights made of old globes and there is a theater room that you can sit in as well. They have a variety of food options and plenty of choices for vegetarians, the impossible burger is delish. The hallway to the bathroom is a hall of presidents and when you go to the restroom, you are reminded to never pass love notes in class (check out the pic below).
After lunch, we meandered to a couple of shops. We stopped in Vouna that has the cutest shop bunny! I think every shop could use a bunny. This store was adorable. They have clothes, plants, vintage goods and more. I would like to visit this store again. Check it out here https://vouna-co.com/ .
Another good stop was Penzeys Spices. They have every spice you can think of and ones you didn’t even know existed. This is the perfect shop to buy something for yourself or a gift for someone, maybe your friend or family member who cooks a lot. You can see what they have here https://www.penzeys.com/ .
We decided after walking for a bit and doing some shopping that we needed a treat, so we stopped by Reinlander Bakery. A German Bakery that has been around since nineteen sixty three. They have a ton of options even including vegan goods. They also serve coffee drinks to have with your sweets. You can look into them more here http://www.rheinlanderbakery.com/ .
There are a lot of other places to stop by and I look forward to visiting again another time. On my list includes La Dolce Vita, The Cereal Box, Ramah Flower Co, Global Goods and Coffee Shop, Olde Town Flower Shop, Lovely Boutique and Olde Town Exchange Consignment.
