Dairy Block Denver
In continuation of exploring Denver, I've stumbled upon Dairy Block which is referred to as a micro-district. Located at 1800 Wazee Street with the alley positioned between 18th and 19th Streets in downtown. The space used to be Windsor Farm Dairy and was established in nineteen twenty by H. Brown Cannon.
In this block you will find the Maven, a one hundred and seventy two room hotel, the Milk Market and the Dairy Block Alley.
The alley itself has been turned into a pedestrian street with no cars or bikes allowed. Along the alley you will find several musical churns that will light up and play music when churned, by Nikki Pike. There is a poem wall, quotes that adorn the alley, milk jug lights, corn toss, patios, some street art and more.
Inside Dairy Block you will find the Milk Market which consists of several restaurants, a coffee bar, a crepe stand, cheese shop and a pub, to name a few. The Perfect Petal and Blue Ruby are cute boutiques where you can do a little shopping, get a last minute gift or treat yourself to some beautiful flowers. Huckleberry is always a good stop for a great latte or grab a bag of beans for later.
As far as the restaurants go, I would recommend Bao Chica Bao as the tofu and mushroom Bao's were amazing! I've also had a pizza at Bonanno brother' Pizzeria which was fantastic. Morning Jones is a cute little stop for a delicious cookie or a treat. One day I will have tried all of the restaurants and will let you know which is my favorite.
They also have events from time to time so make sure to check out their website for more information. You can find that and additional info here http://dairyblock.com/
